A New Dawn

Hello everyone,

With the cooler days it has finally dawned on me that summer is over for another year and I have many fall chores that need to be done. We only have a couple of house & garden tours left and they are not until mid October. So,I think it is time to put away the summer wicker, chop down the dying foliage ,plant some new bulbs and tidy up the garden. We still have a few things yet to bloom and fall foliage colors add interest for the next few weeks but the garden is definitely winding down. Yes, I am sad to see it go but it still holds beauty for me even in the winter as snow covers arbors, trees, shrubs etc.. I do look forward to moving back indoors too-cosy fireside teas, root vegetables baking in the oven, apple cider simmering on the stove, pumpkin muffins and hopefully a little Fall trip to some of our favorite places-for everything there is a season! Anyway, I am rambling now so I will let you enjoy the beauty of this New Dawn rose.

New Dawn

New Dawn in toile.

New Dawn in my new 10 cent vase from the yardsale.

New Dawn on my garden hat.

The angel is the base of a new lamp from the yard sale-$3.

Well, now that all this has 'dawned' on me I better get to work!

Thank you for visiting me

&

Enjoy your day!

Carolyn
