I wanted to share this really cool furniture store that was brought to my attention a few weeks ago. If you're into a mirrored furniture and brightly colored French traditionals, then you'll love this.

Boy do I have a treat for you guys! All Modern.com is graciously offering this really fun (and functional) Alfi thermal carafe to one of you! In order to win, go to All Modern and pick out one other item that you'd like to have. Come back to this post and list the item, along with your name. Or you can email me the item you like with your name at ashley@decorologyblog.com The cut off date for entries is Dec. 22, at 12 noon EST. I will announce the winner shortly after.

Now, about this awesome carafe - It's thermal (keeps liquids hot or cold), and is really really cute! I chose one in bright orange because orange is believed to aid in the creative process. I used to try and keep orange flowers on my desk at all times, but considering that I more or less make my way through a pot of coffee a day, I just keep my carafe at my desk all day! The carafe really does keep the coffee warm all the way to the end of the day, though around 3 pm maybe 30 secs. in the microwave might be needed if you want it really hot. It just makes me happy to have such a bright and cheery object on my desk, too.
I think the carafe is not quite so red as this in reality. Based on stock availability there is a chance the winner may receive a different color. Here's more info on the carafe.

Now, if I had to list one other item from the site that I'd like it'd be these modern and elegant butterfly stools from the Vitra line.
I'd pick the dark wood version.

Okay, well good luck! Leave me a note with your name and your favorite product on the site - here's the link again - http://www.allmodern.com/, and you will be entered to win!

Oh so clever, modern, and elegant

I was really impressed when I discovered this furniture from Vincent Reardon. I was just filled with so many "why didn't I think of that?!" moments.

This teapot is chic and adorable. The ability to keep warm with a tea light is great too!

Here's another one - this sofa seems so intuitive, yet I've yet to see this before. My only qualm is it's a little too modern for my tastes. Or I'd atleast like the option for the couch to be the same dark color as the table/ottoman slideout so it blends in when the whole thing is compacted.

It's hard to know how sturdy this is - but it's a great idea!

What do you think of this furniture?

I received word of John Reeves's really unique furniture and I thought it was worth sharing. John Reeves is an award-winning UK designer. He does furniture for all occasions and rooms, even outdoor pieces. REEVESdesign also includes the new Cast Aluminum Series 1 - which I think would be a good option for those of you who want something that no one else in the neighborhood has.

Here's some cool information about the designer:

"John Reeves, founder of a small furniture manufacturing company that bears his name, dealt with the concerns of poor offshore working conditions by moving to Vietnam and starting a fabrication shop in person, building some fantastic, durable furniture along the way. The chairs, tables and benches he produces with his Vietnamese co-workers are cast in aluminum sourced from recycled engine blocks and conduit, and the results are curvaceous, solid and thoroughly modern."

So, I'm really happy to hear that John promotes proper working conditions and the use of recycled materials. Without further ado, his work:

I think the pieces above are really cool. They have an organic, earthy look, but are modern and cast aluminum!
gotta love this bench

I also really like this console - I think it would be really striking in a room with pieces in different styles.
