I like country style - but country style can encompass sooooo many looks. I thought I'd see which way you guys leaned - "traditional" country, or "modern" country.

Lets start with classic country:

Help me find a cute summer purse

Okay, here's a fun post for you guys. I need a summer handbag (a little late, I know), but I've been lugging around my thick dark leather back and it's starting to err...get sticky. I'm looking for something that's a canvas material, and has a pretty, feminine print. Does anyone know where such a gem can be found? Here are some pretties I found on Etsy.

Decorating with green - rooms that do it well

Green is big right now - be it the color or the lifestyle. However, like anything that becomes popular there is also the risk of becoming cliche or too trendy. However, just because something is trendy, it doesn't mean you shouldn't embrace it if you truly love it! I think a good place to start is finding inspiration that employs the color/practice/object/etc. in an authentic way.

Here are some examples where I think the color green is used either naturally or with a flair that gets across the dweller's passion for the color. What do you truly love that has become a trend - and has it changed the way you approach it?

- you can do it with accents and accessories

or a unique wallpaper or upholstery...

or where appropriate - as it is in this historic shaker kitchen

I'm sure many of you have heard of Etsy, and I know many people who sell on Etsy. What I love about it is the personal nature of everything - it's not mass-produced, it's thoughtful, and it's usually pretty affordable! Have you bought anything from Etsy? Were you pleased??
