Now that I'm back at my parents' farm after my travels, and surrounded by all things rustic and country, I thought I'd dig through my picture folders and share some country interiors

Like the ceramic collection. The metal light fixtures keep this kitchen from being too kitschy country.

These are two cute ideas - take the back of an old chair and turn it into a towel rack, or take a ladder and turn it into shelves. What do you think?

I adore this home. It's so cheerful - I think it would be impossible to feel gloomy and not smile when you see it. I'd love to see it in person!

The wallpaper is bold, but since the surroundings are quiet and neutral it's not too much for my personal taste.

The chair in the corner makes the dining room so much cozier.

It has been so dreary and chilly - I'm chomping at the bit for summer. What would be even nicer is to have a lovely cottage on the beach like this one - a little break from the hustle and bustle. What's your ideal escape home?

A beautiful shabby chic Savannah cottage with some Scandinavian flavor

February is a great month for the home decor magazines. I had a stack waiting for me when I returned from Spain, and I've never used so many page markers! I thought I'd start off sharing all the things inspired me with this light and pretty Savannah cottage- which was condemned when the couple bought it for $29,000. I have a crush on Savannah so my ears always perk at the name!

I really like this simple, clean kitchen

I like the bedding and nightstand here, but I think all the objects above the headboard are a bit much. What do you think?

I really like flat(ish) weave, striped rugs. I really, really like them when they're only $2.99 like the one above from Ikea.

Period houses galore - people who live in centuries old homes

I literally stumbled across the site, Period Properties the other day, and down the rabbit hole I fell! It's like flipping through a fairy tale and seeing how people - rich and poor, lived hundreds of years ago. The catch is people live there now, have tried to preserve the character of the home, and tell their renovating stories.
