Home Offices to drool over

0
ohhhh....I can't wait until I have my own place and can make the home office of my dreams! Here's hoping it'll look like one of these. In the meantime I'll steal some ideas that I can implement while I'm working from the dining room.

Plenty of space for books - I have to have my books.

DREAMY home office. fireplace, desk with plenty of surface area looking out a window...

I do some light sewing, but I get really behind because I don't have a dedicated sewing desk. I have to get it out of it's box every time I use it and it just isn't working...

Okay so I know the two above are super matchy-matchy but they are from Pottery Barn. I love the big linen pinboard (shhh...those are easy to make yourself and much cheaper!) The organization ideas in these office setups are great.

Gorgeous home office and organization inspiration

I have a feeling after looking at these photos that I'll be decorating my office more than working in it today!

This wall was painted with a magnetic paint

Too small for me but I think it's helpful to have a little surface in the kitchen dedicated to writing or a laptop for looking up recipes - too many times has muffin batter ended up all over it.

yay! for storage you can hide with the swish of a curtain!

color coordinating can help create visual order

This is an amazing home office. I'd love to have a comfy place to sit and go through papers and magazines.

More home office inspiration!

I've been unpacking and setting up my office gradually over the last couple of weeks and I've learned that it's just not the best way to be productive. It's hard for me to focus on my work when I know there is a box beside me of things waiting to be sorted. I might have to just take a day off and finish up my unpacking.

This office space is so well thought out - and so functional!

I've found that supplies at hand really helps me get stuff done

this would be a great setup for a chef

I use jam jars in my bathroom and they are so handy - and cheap!

This little library was a closet, too!

Inspiring Home Offices

Since I'm now working from home full time, I'm experiencing first hand the importance of a home office with function and style. To achieve this, I've decided, I must peruse as many sites and magazines I can get my hands on! I suspect this post will be continued in future installments --

Color is so important but such a hard thing for me to get right. I wish I could though, because the right colors can be just what one needs - serene, invigorating, relaxing, etc.

So peaceful - I think I'd be able to concentrate with a workspace like this...

I love having my books and magazines at hand - and for that shelving is a must. I'm just going to have to learn to live without when I'm working while I travel

So cheery!

This office looks very efficient - I would also love to have ample - and multiple - work surfaces

Beautiful built-ins

I've lived in quite a few old houses and one thing I love about them are the built-in features. Bookcases, desks, window seats - they add so much charm and personality. How about you? What's your feeling on built-ins?

A dreamy day bed/window seat - oh the hours I could spend there

serene office - my desk is never that clean though - as I use it to work on... :)

I love this room. The curtains hung lower ads a lot of dimension to the room I think...
