Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Isn't the cork refrigerator front genius?

Gorgeous inspiring images from my favorite blogs

Posted by Mr Wong at 10:10 AM 0

I thought I'd pick up where I left off and continue with installments of "Favorite Images from my Favorite Blogs." I started this feature because I realized that as a blogger, I rarely had the time to peruse the blogs that inspired me to start blogging, or that I'd discovered while blogging. I hope you enjoy and that it ads a little brightness to your holiday weekend!...

(blogs featured in no particular order)

To begin, images from Pink Wallpaper

...no words...
again, no words...

I really like this chair - which I think is from Anthropologie...but I just don't know if I'd have the discipline to keep everything else in the room complementary

Next, a newly discovered blog for me- Loftlife Magazine

Liking the touches of glamour pared down with clean lines in this bedroom

Have you ever tried arranging your books by color like on this shelf?

Last but not least, Deco & Design

All these images are so serene...

Hope you enjoyed these and have a great holiday weekend!

One of my new favorite house tours - a combination of rustic and luxury

Posted by Mr Wong at 1:12 PM 0

It's quite possible you've already took notice of the cover home of the Dec/Jan 2010 issue of House Beautiful. Well if you haven't, you're in for a treat. If you already have - you should have seconds! It's one of the more memorable homes I've seen in awhile. You'll see why below.

This amazing loft space graces the cover

The home is Interior designer Jill Brinson's Atlanta cottage. Hard to believe this home is in a city!

Country conversions

pretty pretty pretty! It's hump day and I needed a little lift to help me over. These are mostly lofts and/or converted barns. So peaceful.

I adore this bedroom - what a gorgeous ceiling! I also never realized how pretty yellow bedding can be. Anybody have yellow bedding?

I need to find out who painted that cloudscape above the tub!

such a sweet guest room!

This kitchen is a really successful blend of modern and country. It's warm and inviting - and still sleek and clean.

Modern city Homes - More variety than you think

Posted by Mr Wong at 7:22 AM 0

Every morning I read a little bit of the New York Times. While looking through the home and garden section, I was surprised by the homes they featured - mostly because I liked them, and also by the variety...

This home was once a synagogue

The rooftop deck is separated from the bedroom by only a glass wall

Not cozy enough for me, but pretty

I adore the tree photograph!!!

An industrial style SOHO apartment...

Look closely - the table is a vintage suitcase

A true New Yorker - making the most of space, and building vertically

I like the warmth of exposed brick, which we have in our kitchen

An eco-brazilian home...
Found dresser drawers fitted with casters now serve as rolling magazine storage!

Newspaper decoupaged chair.

Bright new Manhattan condominium...

I can't imagine a pond in my house and a wall of ivy!

Another SOHO loft. While this space is way too cold for me, I am in awe of the massive amount of empty space, the beautiful floors and ceiling, and the amazing windows...

Do you have a favorite out of these homes?
